Twine

Twines come in different constructions, the most common being 3 strands twisted, and braided. Braided comes in 3 common constructions, 8 strands, 12 strands or 16 strands. Size for size the 12 strand construction is the strongest, while the 16 strands will have better abrasion resistance. 

I have chosen 6mm and below as twine sizes, above 6mm will be considered a small line, or rope. 

The materials used for twines are generally all the same materials as used in netting. My focus is on UHMWPE products, and this is where I have the widest range of twines. 

  • Double tightly braided high tenacity polyester covers

    12 strand Ikore (UHMWPE) core and loops

    Lead-beads strands

    *All the UHMWPE twines are treated, and this treatment provides some color. The color treatment fades quite quickly over time. Permanently colored UHMWPE twine is available upon request.
